The Estate
A Family History
We are located in Burgundy, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, in the commune of Givry, more precisely in the hamlet of Poncey. Our core mission is for our winemaking work to reflect the authenticity and typical character of Givry wines and each of our parcels.
Great wines require beautiful grapes. This demands conscientious and rigorous work in our vineyards, requiring patience and precision, all while respecting our soils and environment. To perpetuate the tradition of shared moments, our harvests are done by hand, and we sort the grapes to keep only the best. In the cellar, our choices for vinification and aging adapt to the harvest: with each vintage, we work with what nature provides.
The VINEYARD
Vines, a Terroir
We are fortunate to cultivate 10 hectares of vineyards, XX of which are classified as Premier Cru, allowing us to produce a wide variety of cuvées.

The History of the Estate
From Father to Son
A name truly destined for viticulture!
Our estate has been passed down from father to son since 1870, spanning 5 generations of Desvignes. Éric Desvignes joined the family business in 1983, after studying at the Beaune wine school, before settling permanently in 1998, supported by his wife Patricia.
It was Gautier Desvignes' turn to join his father in 2016 as co-manager, after several years of experience in Oregon and on a farm in Wyoming.
Thus, each generation partners with nature to impart its own style, guided by its expertise.
Appellations
Our Wines, Our Vintages
Our range comprises 9 cuvées
Our red wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir, and our white wines from Chardonnay. Three are Givry village appellation – two reds and two whites – and four red wines are classified as Premier Cru. We embrace this Burgundian philosophy, where each wine reflects the 'climat,' the specific place where the grapes originate. Our winemaking adapts to each vintage: the key is to maintain the typical character of Givry wines and, above all, to preserve their fruit and personality.
